Via Mare at Greydon House

Via Mare transports you from Nantucket Town to the canals of Venice, which is known for its bite-sized bars called bacari. Via Mare celebrates the Venetian tradition of small plate dining with cicchetti (tiny bites), including olives, oysters, and caviar. Try a few before moving on to more Italian-inspired favorites, including the crostini, fritto misto, and tagliatelle.
Chanticleer Nantucket
Over in Siasconset, Chanticleer Nantucket is a modern French restaurant that serves seasonal, contemporary fare in elegant rooms, some with stunning garden views. There’s a light-filled patio, but we like Brotherhood of Thieves’ atmospheric “whaling bar” downstairs. Enjoy the 19th-century tavern vibes, plus burgers, clam chowder, and piles of fried seafood with curly fries.
The Proprietors Bar & Table
Proprietors is a restaurant that also looks to Nantucket’s whaling history for inspiration, but with a global spin. The menu draws inspiration from the exotic ports of call where Nantucket’s captains traveled and features unique dishes you won’t find anywhere else.
