What You Need to Know About Attending the Nantucket Film Festival
Your bags are packed, and you’re ready to enjoy the best films of the year. (without the hassle of a trip to the Oscars) From dramatic acts to hilarious screenplays, the festival truly has a little something for all theatre lovers. It’s time to set sail for the annual Nantucket Film Festival!
The Nantucket Film Festival begins on Wednesday and closes the curtains Monday afternoon. The festival features seven unique film categories. They include spotlight films, short films, family films, narrative films, virtual reality, documentaries, and a stunning centerpiece film. Guests can bounce from Dreamland Studio to Bennett Hall to the White Elephant to catch their favorites. Films run congruently throughout the day, and if you missed any of the weekend action, catch up at Monday’s recap!
The Film Festival offers three packages for visitors to choose from—the week package, the signature package, and the day package. If you’re looking to attend the most shows for the best deal, your best bet is the week package. It includes 20 tickets to any general admission show, four tickets to special presentations, and two invitations to the official opening party. If you are only in town for the day, take advantage of their day packages, which include four tickets to any general admission film and badge access to the Legacy Lounge.
