The Chicken Box (16 Daves St)
This classic dive bar has become a genuine Nantucket institution: one that really comes alive late at night. Besides the sturdy drinks and unbeatable atmosphere, there’s a regular lineup of weekend live music. Maxxtone’s playing October 5th and 6th, Dalton & the Sheriffs October 12th and 13th, and Buckle & Shake October 19th and 20th. And heads up: The Box hosts its own Halloween party.
Rose & Crown (23 S Water St)
Named for a legendary shoal of the coast of Nantucket nicknamed “The Crown”, this restaurant/bar serves up a great spread of libations, from craft beer (including local and regional offerings such as Whale’s Tale Pale Ale and Shark Tracker Light Lager), fine wines, and creative “Mocktails” for everyone to enjoy.
Cru (1 Straight Wharf)
One of the most celebrated oyster bars in the region, Cru boasts a large selection of different raw bar options with cocktail seafood fare. With a beautiful location right on the water, Cru continues to be a favorite hot-spot and a fantastic late-night option for when you are out on the town.
The Gazebo at The Tavern (4 Harbor Square)
Looking to indulge in delicious hand-crafted cocktails with a side of late-night ocean breeze? The Gazebo at the Tavern is the place for you! An open-sided structured in the heart of Nantucket, The Gazebo features a variety of different beverage options as well as picturesque views of the harbor.
Bar at Straight Wharf Restaurant (6 Harbor Square)
Featuring a long list of cocktails, locally brewed beers and authentic Nantucket cuisine, The Bar at Straight Wharf Restaurant offers patrons a one-of-a-kind dining experience in a warm, inviting atmosphere.
Outdoor Bar at Queequeg’s and Town (6 Oak Street)
Complete with an outdoor deck, and a cozy dining area, Queequeg’s and Town offers visitors eclectic American cuisine in a quaint space. With a delicious dinner menu, and expansive cocktail list, Queequeg’s has made a name in the area as one of the best nightlife spots.
Cisco Brewers (5 Bartlett Farm Rd)
The taproom at Nantucket’s very own craft brewery is another highly recommended stop during your Greydon House stay, though as far as nightlife goes keep in mind it closes on the early end of things: 7 PM Mondays through Saturdays, 6 PM on Sundays.
